GEORGE ALLSBROOKS RECEIVES LIONS CLUB HIGHEST AWARD
District Lions Club President Dewey Shaver presented George Allsbrooks the highest award given by the Lions Club International Foundation. The fellowship, presented to him by the Lions Club International Foundation, is awarded to individuals who subscribe to the ideals and objectives of the club. It is named after the club's founder He was told he was receiving the Melvin Jones Fellowship for 25 years service to the community as a member of the Lions Club.We would like to congratulate Mr Allsbrooks on the award. and as usual I took a few photos
The Lions Club has has just finished providing a weekend of entertaiment as part of the festivities leading up to the 40th annual Irish Day Parade on March 16th. They started with Gospel music on Thursday and ended up with blue grass and a packed house Friday night
